This Time Lyrics

It still feels goodYou were always there to bring me breakfast in bed
And when I stayed out late you had some powder for my head
I've been a bad man
But you never paid no mindWe've had some long nights
But we're alright this timeI believe in something I just don't know what it is
And every time I climb I wind up back on the skids
You always stood by me
When the natives start to whineWe've had some long nights
But we're alright this timeWe've had some long nights
But we're alright this timeYou're like an angel with a twelve gauge
You're like a wheel man on a get awayAnd together we ride
You ain't Bonnie, I ain't Clyde
But we made it out of town just the sameI could take a taxi but it's better when you drive
You always come between me and the mess outside
I could buy you a ring
But you'd rather have the cash
And that don't even rhymeWe've had some long nights
But we're alright this timeAnd together we ride

You ain't Bonnie, I ain't Clyde
But we made it out of town just the sameI could take a taxi but it's better when you drive
You always come between me and the mess outside
I could buy you a ring
But you'd rather have the cash
And that don't even rhymeWe've had some long nights
But we're alright this timeWe've had some long nights
But we're alright this timeWe've had some long nights
But we're alright this time

Uncle Kracker (born Matthew Shafer 9 November 1974 in Mount Clemens, Michigan) is an American rock and roll and country music musician.

He started out his career at a young age as a fledgling rapper. He met Kid Rock in 1987, and Rock asked Kracker to become his DJ. Kracker did not know how to work the turntables, but he soon learned how to, and he became a long-term friend and colleague of Rock.

Kracker worked with Kid Rock until he became a solo artist in 2000.

The My Hometown Songfacts reports that Kracker recorded Postcards From Home over seven weeks in early 2011. The album title was inspired by his hectic life on the road after his successful Happy Hour longplayer.
