This Wicked Tongue Lyrics

This wicked tongue says, God is a million miles away
This wicked tongue says, he can't see my day to day
This wicked tongue says, go on, taste everything
And this wicked tongue says, you know you're not really livingAnd it stares into the sun and it flies from star to star
Cursing everyone in my ringing earsAnd the noise is as much as I can bear
And the noise is as much as I can bear
And the noise is as much as I can bear
And the noise is as much as I can bearSo I asked her where's the heart?
In the rubbish heap of man
And I asked her where's the soul?
And the silence rang and rang and rang and rang and rangSo I stare into the sun and I fly from star to star
Cursing everyone in my ringing earsAnd the noise is as much as I can bear
And the noise is as much as I can bear
And the noise is as much as I can bear
And the noise is as much as I can bearI give up, he said, I give up you win
Creation baby has failed again
I give up, he said, I give up you win
Creation baby has failed againCreation baby has failed again

Creation baby has failed again
Creation baby has failed again
Creation baby has failed again

Polly Jean Harvey, born October 9, 1969 in Yeovil, United Kingdom and raised in nearby Corscombe (Dorset), is an English singer-songwriter. She has recorded as a solo artist under the name PJ Harvey, but she began her career as part of a trio (with drummer Rob Ellis and bassist Steve Vaughan), also named PJ Harvey, in 1991. Early material released by the trio on Dry, 4 Track Demos and Rid of Me was praised by critics for its raw, guitar-driven sound and sharp-witted, melancholic lyrics.
