Three Hours Past Midnight Lyrics

It is three hours past midnight
And my baby's nowhere around
Yes three hours past midnight
And my baby's nowhere aroundWell, I listen so hard to hear her footsteps
I ain't even heard a sound
Well, I toss and tumble on my pillow
But I just can't close my eyesOh, I toss and tumble on my pillow
But I just can't close my eyes
If my baby don't come back pretty soon
Yes, I just can't be satisfied nowLook out
Look out
Keep right onWell, I tried so hard to take
But my baby's drivin' me insane
Well, I tried so hard to take
Oh yeahBut my baby's drivin' me insane
Well if she's don't come back pretty soon
Yeah, gonna catch that midnight train
Yeah

Johnny "Guitar" Watson (February 3, 1935 - May 17, 1996) was an American musician whose long career influenced the development of blues, soul music, rhythm & blues, funk, rock music, and rap music. John Watson, Jr. was born February 3, 1935 in Houston, Texas. His father John Sr. was a pianist, and taught his son the instrument. But young Watson was immediately attracted to the sound of the guitar, in particular the electric guitar as practiced by the "axe men" of Texas: T-Bone Walker and Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown.
