Through It All Lyrics

(Verse)
I saw the storm felt the wind began to change
I saw the sky rip wide open
I looked away hid my face from the world
Ran away from everything
But now I'm back for moreI heard the sounds of a flashing light
Watched the day turn into night
I heard the sounds of a flashing light
Watched the day turn into night(Chorus)
And through it all
We've been thrown into the fire
We've been lost in the flame
But we will rise from the ashes again
Our worlds have been broken
We've been burned by the flame
But we will rise from the ashes again(Verse)
She watched the world as it slowly slipped away
Lost all the dreams in the ocean

She sees his face , feels his touch on her hand
Remembers when she had everything
One day she will againI heard the sounds of a flashing light
Watched the day turn into night(Chorus)
And through it all
We've been thrown into the fire
We've been lost in the flame
But we will rise from the ashes again
Our worlds have been broken
We've been burned by the flame
But we will rise from the ashes again(Bridge) x2
You are all that I have
Everything that I need
You're the one that I want
You're everything I believe(Chorus)
And through it all
We've been thrown into the fire
We've been lost in the flame
But we will rise from the ashes again
Our worlds have been broken
We've been burned by the flame
But we will rise from the ashes again

It won't take long for listeners of Spoken's sixth studio album to be reminded of how hard and fast the band can rock. The three songs that open the album, "History Erased," "Close Your Eyes" and "Not Soon Forgotten," start things off with nine minutes of blazing fast guitar riffs and loud and quick-rising vocals, all bounded by a full-sounding rhythm section. After two albums for Tooth and Nail where the band explored more anthemic avenues, the quintet found itself re-examining its hard rock and metal roots on its third record for the label.
