Thrown To The Wolves (Live @ Rock Hard 2007) Lyrics

Led to the slaughter by those who were there to protect
Nailed to the cross then put on display to dissect
Dignity stripped like flesh being ripped from the bone
Sentence: death by mongrels to which you are thrownHere comes the pack
Come to attack
Blood in their eyes
No compromise
Thrown to the wolves
Left there to dieHiding from shadows that chase by the light of the moon
Choking on lies overflowing in silver spoons
Told of the cities of gold and a thousand delights
Fed to the dogs that hunt in the dead of the nightHere comes the pack
Come to attack
Blood in their eyes
No compromise
Thrown to the wolves
Left there to dieBehold I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves
As the brother shall deliver up the brother to deathBeg for a life that is worth not a dime to their kind

Pleading for mercy from those that would leave you behind
Betrayed with a kiss by the blackened soul you will save
Burned at the stake so the jackals can piss on your graveHere comes the pack
Come to attack
Blood in their eyes
No compromise
Thrown to the wolves
Left there to die

Among the youngest bands ever to storm the metal genre, Death Angel has come to be known as one of the most influential bands to emerge from the thriving bay area thrash metal Scene in the early 1980s, an era when one could catch Cliff Burton at the front of the stage at Ruthie's Inn banging his head to Death Angel's inventive style, and speedy, complex arrangements. In 1986, a Death Angel demo produced by Kirk Hammett titled "Kill As One" sparked the interest of Enigma Records. Then, in 1987, Death Angel's debut, The Ultra Violence, was released.
