Thunderclap Lyrics

Through the thunderclap
I hear the sound
Like a cold wind calls my name
It's only the rainLike a light, that does not flicker
I wanted the cold to make us better
I carried words upon my shoulders
And I will never let you down
I will never let you downSo hold
(Hold Hold Hold)
Hold a light back to my soul
(Hold Hold Hold)
I'm just a lonely boy
With thoughts of growing oldAnd call
(Hold Hold Hold)
Call the sunshine to my soul
(Hold Hold Hold)
I'm just an empty boy
Who's souls growing cold

So bring your love light to my doorIn another life
I lived before
I broke so many things
With these two clumsy hands
But now I'm steady as a rock
And hold your hand in mine(Hold Hold Hold)Hold a light back to my soul
(Hold Hold Hold)
I'm just a lonely boy
With thoughts of growing oldAnd Call
(Hold Hold Hold)
Call the sunshine to my soul
(Hold Hold Hold)
I'm just and empty boy
Who's souls growing cold
So bring your love light to my doorI will never let you down
I will never let you down
I will never let you down
I will never let you down
(Hold Hold Hold)Call
(Hold Hold Hold)
Call the sunshine to my soul
(Hold Hold Hold)
I'm just an empty boy
An empty boyCall
(Hold Hold Hold)
Call the life back to my soulI'm just a lonely boy
With thoughts of growing old
So bring your love light to my door
Let me stumble to your shoreBring your love light to my door

Eskimo Joe is alt-rock band from Fremantle, Western Australia comprising Kavyen Temperley (bass/vocals), Joel Quartermain (guitar/drums) and Stuart MacLeod (guitar)
The group initally formed to compete in the National Campus Band Competition in 1997. Temperley and Quartermain were already in a band at the time, Freud's Pillow, but had met with little success and asked Temperley's childhood friend MacLeod to form a new band, which became Eskimo Joe. The band ended up winning the competition prize: a slot at the 1997 Livid Festival and a session in a studio to record their first EP, Sweater.
