Till the Light Comes Lyrics

Broke down on a back road
Can't find no cover anywhere I go
I need the comfort of a girl I know, from back in my hometownOne line mama, one kiss
How you gonna stand there, don't ya do me like thisYou got the bullets that don't ever miss
They lay me on the groundI want to see you in the light
I'm gonna keep you in my sight till the light comesOh IMy friends don't know me
They cook me in the fire in the third degree
I ain't nothing like I used to be
Lord I'm sinking downSwing wide mama, swing low
Come on love me baby before I have to go
You got the whip, baby I got to I roll
Unless I want to drownI want to see you in the light
I'm gonna keep you in my sight
Till the light comes
Oh and I want to see you in the lightOh and I
Gonna keep you in my sight
Till the light comesOhhhHow can I get closer to you?
What am I to do?

Only thing I ask of you
How can I get closer to you?
What am I to do?
Only thing I ask of you
