Tin Soldier Lyrics

It's all the same, and then suddenly
You see the frame, but turn away
Faces in time, that's when I was your heroWrap my soul in cellophane
Drown my secrets in the rain
Johnny comes marchin' home again
Hey tin soldier, the war ain't over
Bang bang bang beat the drums of war
Don't know the name don't know the tin soldierTimes up, comin' down
Silver stars watch 'em tumbling down
We all fall downCold war runnin' through my veins
Don't know the name don't know the face of
The tin soldier
Yeah! Yeah! yeah!Come hide inside, come in under
Do you hear the guns, do you hear the drumsWrap my soul in cellophane
Purple heart hangin' on a chain
Only the battleground has changed
Hey tin soldier, the war ain't over
Johnny comes marchin' home again

Don't know the name don't know the face of
The tin soldier

Winger is an American hard rock band formed in New York City, in 1987, that gained popularity during the late 1980s and early 1990s. The band's two platinum albums, Winger and In the Heart of the Young, along with charting singles "Seventeen", "Headed for a Heartbreak" and "Miles Away", put the band on the top of the charts by the early 1990s. In 1990, the band was nominated for an American Music Award for "Best New Heavy Metal Band". As the music scene changed in the early to mid-1990s due to the popularity of grunge, the band faded after their third release, Pull.
