Tiny Cities (feat. Beck) Lyrics

[Verse 1: Beck]
Can I, should I, find my way home?
Or did I, think I, better go home?
All I, said I, needed was gone
But I, thought I, had it all wrongNow can it, ever, be the same way?
When they never seem to forget
So it hurt more than you said
Get it down inside of your head[Chorus: Beck]
Oh, she is following me in my head when I am all alone
Thinking I'll fall every time, I wanna try to let her go
But it's never easy when you think you have it in control
Somehow you get caught up in the moment and you never know
All these tiny cities that you're holding in your little hand
In the wind like diamond lights, they blow away in desert sand
It was never perfect, it was never meant to last
It was never perfect, it was never meant to last[Outro: Beck]
It was never perfect, it was never meant to last
It was never perfect, it was never meant to last

It was never perfect, it was never meant to last
It was never perfect, it was never meant to last
It was never perfect, it was never meant to last
It was never perfect, it was never meant to last
It was never perfect, it was never meant to last
It was never perfect, it was never meant to lastWhy can't I fall down into the ground (Gotta get it back, back)
Why can't I fall down into the ground (Gotta get it back, back)Can I ever get ahead of what I want and what I need?
And what I have to do to get away from what is killing me?
How can I convince myself to not believe in what I know
When all I see is dominos falling uphill as we go

Flume, is an electronic music project, created by Harley Streten from Sydney, Australia. Harley Streten began producing music at the age of thirteen, with a basic production disc that was packaged in a box of cereal.
Streten was discovered and signed by Future Classic in 2011, after submitting the tracks "Sleepless", "Over You" and "Paper Thin" in an original artists competition managed by the Australian record company. Nathan McLay, an employee of Future Classic and now Flume's manager, assisted with the release of his first EP titled Sleepless, which contained the three original tracks.
