Tired of Pretending Lyrics

The silence is deafening
It's drowning out the truth
And killing every good thing
That we try to doIt's so polite 'round here
It's hiding every fear
That we don't talk about
We gotta shake that demon outI'm tired of pretending
That everything is gonna work out just fine
I'm tired of pretending
That no one's gonna get hurt if we just stand by
While we're descending
I'm tired of pretendingIt's an amazing thing
All of the lies you tell
They don't do anything
But help you fool yourselfStarting today I'm done
I'm through holding onto
Some dark secret that we keep
I've bitten my tongue until it bleedsI'm tired of pretending

That everything is gonna work out just fine
I'm tired of pretending
That no one's gonna get hurt if we just stand by
How suckers is just like his home
With a flick of a thing over old damn things goneI'm tired of pretending
That everything is gonna work out just fine
I'm tired of pretending
That no one's gonna get hurt if we just stand by
I'm tired of pretending
That everything is gonna work out just fine
While we're descending
I'm tired of pretending
This lie that we're living
Won't have a happy endingTired of pretending
Tired of pretending
Tired of pretending
