To Move On Is to Grow Lyrics

I've been sleeping on stones, oh, oh, ohMy mistakes are easier made the second time
I can't move on since I've closed my eyes
Since I've closed my eyes
I've gone off myself from everybody elseTo move on is to grow
You'll never be able to accomplish anything
I know the ways to go
I can't bring myself to move forwardI've been sleeping on stones
And they've formed to my spine
My once straight-backed now all crooked lieI've broken no bones and I appear to be just fine
My life's spinning deep from the insideEvery decision is easier made the second time
Every decision is easier made the second timeThe distance becomes greater to your mind
To change the way you're living your life
To move on is to growAnd we can barely accomplish
Either right or wrong
We know the way to go
Yet we follow those with their eyes closedI've been sleeping on stones
We've been sleeping on stones
And they've formed to our spines

Our once straight-backed now just crooked liesWhen we all wake up
Its hard compared to which we loved
We will wish we had stopped the first timeWhen we wake up to the lies that we've created
So turn around and head back the way you cameI'll follow you, I'll follow you
We'll be sent back in our way
That is where we came back
To where our lives bridged offWe will take the path
We should have taken all along
This distance becomes greater to your mind
To changing your living your life

We Came As Romans is a post hardcore band formed in 2005. Hailing from Troy, Michigan, We Came As Romans are pushing the envelope, combining influences such as the intertwined singing/screaming vocals of Underoath, the theatrical, orchestra-infused metal of Chiodos, the crushing breakdowns of The Devil Wears Prada and the positive lyrics of August Burns Red on their debut Equal Vision release, To Plant a Seed. Their second album, Understanding What We've Grown to Be, released in September 2011 featured a darker tone than their previous album while still maintaining the band's overall theme of positivity and brotherhood.

Signed to Equal Vision Records (announced April 16th) after being named Alternative Press’ “Best Unsigned Band” early 2009.

Members:
Dave Stephens – Vocals
Kyle Pavone – Vocals/Synth
Joshua Moore - Guitar
Lou Cotton – Guitar
Andy Glass – Bass
Eric J. Choi – Drums
