Today Lyrics

Advisory - the following lyrics contain explicit language:
I don't know how I got this far away
But I don't feel right in my own skin todayIt seems like I'm always moving in the wrong way
Keep thinking things will change, change some dayIts like everybody knows, everybody else believe
Everybodys got something good to say, and interestingAnd all I can see are the bright colors in my head
I should roll myself right down, get out of bedNo not today...
No not today...No not today...
No not today...Hey....But I don't know why, I always feel so alone
But I feel it cold and I feel it right down, to the boneI wanna close my eyes real tight, let it drift away
But theres no turning back for me, not here todayNo not today...
No not today...No not today...

No not today...I know, you feel, I'm crazy
Its like everybody feels, emptiness, its plain to seeBut Mr. Sad Clown, you're lingering, in a bad place
Won't you steal, those tears, awayAnd hey, hey, hey...
Not today, hey, hey...And long as i can recall, its been part of me
Though it isn't always so clear, or plain to see it, noAnd its so damn hard thinking about breaking off from you
But it feels just like it might be the right thing to doYeah...Maybe today...
Maybe today...Yeah.. yeah...Maybe today...
Maybe today...Maybe today... hey... hey..Yeah......

The BoDeans are a rock and roll and roots rock band formed in Waukesha, Wisconsin in 1983 by Kurt Neumann (vocals & electric guitar) and Sam Llanas (vocals & acoustic guitar). In 1985, after adding a drummer and a bassist, the band signed a contract with Slash/Warner Records and recorded their first album. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, the band had several singles in the Top 40 "mainstream rock" charts. In the mid-1990s, the band had two Top 10 songs in the "Adult contemporary" charts.
