Today Like Tomorrow Lyrics

I got the message
came right through the day
It said watch where we've come from
between the nearness
and the far away
Make today like tomorrow
for a little while
We can always
talk it over
Dream a dream
and let it go
'cause everything
is always coming later
Make today like tomorrow
for a little while
Make today like tomorrow
for a little while

Time will pass
You'll wonder
where it flew
and every small belief
You know is true
And just when
we've discovered
where it led
The cold has chased us
both into our bed
The consequences
are not the same
In fact, they never are
We'll take the difference
the way it came
Make today like tomorrow
for a little while
If I knew more
I wouldn't tell you
It couldn't matter
if I did
Instead of some
old story I could sell you
Make today like tomorrow
for a little while
Make today like tomorrow
for a little while
Make today like tomorrow
for a little while

Jules Shear is an artist from Pittsburgh PA USA, born in 1952.

Known best for his "hits" by other performers, including the recording by Cyndi Lauper of "All Through the Night" reached number 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1984, and The Bangles, whose recording of "If She Knew What She Wants" reached number 29 in 1986.

Jules led a band, Jules and the Polar Bears, for a time. As a solo act, his song "Steady" reached number 56 on the US charts in 1985; he has recorded almost twenty albums to date.

Shear often worked with some of the day's top sidemen. For example, guitarist Elliot Easton on the cd "Healing Bones," which features Rod Argent on keyboards and co-producer duties.

Shear had a well-publicized relationship with Aimee Mann (Til Tuesday's lead singer/songwriter at the time). Shear eventually married singer/songwriter Pal Shazar. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
