Tomorrow's Calling Lyrics

Tomorrow's calling with promises new
I hear the echo of yesterday's gloomSilver petals of porcelain rose
Cobwebs of filigree
Where I get them from nobody knows
No one but you can seeAll the treasures of time will be there
Take them away, they're free
The finest thing is a love that we'll share
If you will follow meIf I were foolish I'd promise the sky
But I must not let my hopes run too highAnd I wonder when all is said and done
What will the future be?
All I know is that you are the one
If you will follow me, if you will follow me
If you will follow meAnd I wonder when all is said and done
What will the future be?
All I know is that you are the one
If you will follow me, if you will follow me
If you will follow meTomorrow's calling with promises new
I hear the echo of yesterday's gloom

I hear the echo of yesterday's gloom
I hear the echo of yesterday's gloom

Marianne Faithfull (born 29 December 1946 in London) is an English singer-songwriter and actress whose career spans more than four decades. Her early work in pop and rock music in the 1960s was overshadowed by her struggle with drug abuse in the 1970s. After a long commercial absence, she returned late in 1979 with the highly acclaimed album, Broken English. Faithfull's subsequent solo work, often critically-acclaimed, has at times been rather overshadowed by her personal history. From 1966 to 1970, she had a highly-publicised romantic relationship with Rolling Stones' lead singer Mick Jagger.
