Tongue Tied Lyrics

Well, I might not be able to say it out loud
I been watching you from across the crowd, baby
Just as soon as I get the chance
I'll happen to be there when you want to danceGot to tell you how I feel
Words won't say it but my body will
I get so shy when I'm standing still
I get tongue tied when I have to speak
I said, I get tongue tied, I can't move my feetWell, some other guys might hand you a line
If you like sweet talk I guess that, that's fine
I won't deceive you with grandiose plans
I put it to you, you'll know I'm your manGot to tell you how I feel
Words won't say it but my body will
I get so shy when I'm standing still
I get tongue tied when I have to speak
I said that I get tongue tied, I can't move my feetTell me why it should be
That you have this effect on me
Why should I be shy with you?
I guess body English will just have to doSome people sit and talk for days

They say funky music's a passing craze
Once we start to shake it on out
We'll give them something to talk about, yeahGot to tell you how I feel
Words won't say it but my body will
I get so shy when I'm standing still
I get tongue tied when I have to speak
I said that I get tongue tied, I can't move my feetTongue tied when I have to speak
Baby, baby, baby
I get tongue tied and I can't move my feet

Orleans is an American pop-rock band best known for its hits Dance With Me (1975), Still the One (1976), and Love Takes Time (1979). Orleans began as a trio in 1972 in Woodstock NY. Guitarist John Hall, drummer Wells Kelly and multi-instrumentalist Larry Hoppen played tirelessly all over the Northeast and up / down the Eastern “corridor” for nine months, then added Lance Hoppen (Larry’s brother) fresh out of high school on bass to form the quartet that would record its debut LP in 1973 at the legendary Muscle Shoals Studio in Alabama.
