Too Many Lovers Lyrics

B. LambI thought I could make it
Without lovin' you
It looked like maybe once or twice
I could see it through
Now it sure feels like love has found me out
I ain't gonna be the one to stick around in my doubtOne too many lovers
Too, too many times
I never wanted to see another pair of cryin' eyes
Too many lovers, too many lies
We started out drinkin'
Fallin' in love is just like findin' a friend
It looked so easy, it seemed so simple
How can love fail to win?
You came along usin' excuses to cover the pain
But words don't work to hide the hurt
Now we both feel so ashamedOne too many lovers
Too, too many times
I never wanted to see another pair of cryin' eyes

Too many lovers, too many liesI know that those night winds must chill you
If your loneliness doesn't kill you
We've been runnin', keepin' our heads low
I know that you've got your troubles
I've got so many of my own
So how come we're both beggin' for one more night?
One too many lovers
Too, too many times
I never wanted to see another pair of cryin' eyes
Too many lovers, too many loversOne too many lovers
Too, too many times
One too many lovers
Too, too many times
One too many lovers
Too, too many times
One too many lovers...
