Too Much Lyrics

I've been here just lyin in the basement
Keeping my head up and my eyes closed
I forget what I was erasing
I guess I don't need to knowDays will take their toll if you let them
We'll always keep coming back for more
Put us in our place just like an old friend
Who knows who we were beforeI know its just too much
To bear
Is there anyone
Out there
I wanna love someone
But if its not you I don't care
Because it's just too much to bear
Windows fill with infinite colors
If only I could move them under my brush
And I don't know why I even bother
They all bleed into oneI know its just too much
To bear

Is there anyone
Out there
I wanna love someone
But if its not you I don't care
Because it's just too much
To bearPieces of the sky
(I wanted love)
Water from your eye
(I let it lie)
Finds who want love
Without you
I had your hopes
I had your faults
I had your fears
To try to calm
But if you're asked
To go out alone
Out of the dark
Now that they're gone

In the summer of 2005, after a series of deaths in the family, Michael Deni left his hometown in New Jersey for San Francisco. He spent the next several months with his guitar and a synthesizer, turning that tragedy into the songs that would soon become the foundation for Geographer. With the additions of cellist Nathan Blaz and drummer Brian Ostreicher, Geographer spent the next year cutting their teeth in the Bay Area, winning over crowds with the heart-pounding epics that make up their debut record, ‘Innocent Ghosts’.
