Torch Song Lyrics

It's unfortunate
We're so dissonant
It's the distances that are disaffecting
It's the nicotine
Nicking up your teeth
Lick your fingers clean and remember me
Oh, ohQuit your bickering
We don't need to speak
Make the most of it
While you got me hanging
It's a dial tone
And a quiet bear
If your fingers bleed let them bleed
Think of me
It's a torch song
If you need a torch
Til' you're back to me
Til' you're back to me

It's a touchstone
But you don't like to be touched
I don't like your tone
I don't like it that much
Test meIf you see me weeks from now like we intended
I'll still stand and watch you exist
I'll make miles teach me how to forget it
And get away from you
Get away from you
It's a torch song
If you need a torch
Til' you're back to me
Til' you're back to me
It's a touchstone
But you don't like to be touched
I don't like your tone
I don't like it that muchTest me

Meanwhile, her mother’s parents were successful musicians; Harry Simeone, the composer and choral arranger responsible for such works as “The Little Drummer Boy” and “Do You Hear What I Hear?” and Margaret McCravy (stage name McCrae)...
