Total Eclipse Lyrics

Cold as steel the darkness waits, it's hour will come
A cry of fear from our children, worshiping the sun
Mother Nature's black revenge on those who waste her life
War babies in the Garden of Eden shall turn our ashes to iceSunrise has gone, freezing up the fires
Sunrise has gone, numbing our desires
Sunrise has gone, sunrise has goneAround the world, the people stop with terror stricken eyes
A shadow cast upon them all to crush them like a fly
In the icy rain and whiplashed seas, there's nowhere left to run
The hammer blows of winter fall, like a hurricaneSunrise has gone, freezing up the fires
Sunrise has gone, numbing our desiresAround the world the nations wait
For some wise words from their leading light
You know it's not only madmen who listen to foolsIs this the end?, the millions cried
Clutching their riches as they died
Those who survive must weather the stormGone are the days when man looked down
They've taken away his sacred crown
To be set free, it took so long
It's not journey's end, it's just begun

The Alan Parsons Project was a British rock group active from 1975 until 1990, founded by Alan Parsons and Eric Woolfson both from London, England. The group is based on a number of regular group members such as Stuart Elliot and Ian Bairnson, complemented with varying lead vocals such as Colin Blunstone (the Zombies), Chris Rainbow and Gary Brooker (Procol Harum). The group is well known for its concept albums, which cover themes such as Edgar Allan Poe, Gaudi, and Freud.

Eric Woolfson wrote most of the music and lyrics while Alan Parsons overviewed the production process. Prior to starting his Project, Parsons worked as an engineer with names such as The Beatles(Abbey Road, the Get Back roofttop concert) and Pink Floyd (Dark Side of the Moon, Atom Heart Mother).

Since the 1990s Alan Parsons has been performing live shows, touring all over the world, but without Eric Woolfson.
