Tough Times Don't Last Lyrics

Advisory - the following lyrics contain explicit language:
From a desperate place, how do I reach you?
You know I scare myself, these crazy nights without you
And I feel no pain when I see you cry
We can turn it around now, you're my reason to tryWe've all seen some trouble
But we've always come through
You know things could get better
Hey babe, believe meTough times don't last, lovers do
Baby, don't give up, on me and you
'Cause trouble's just a storm that's gonna pass
Tough times don't lastWe can work so hard, til' we feel the strain

We can get so close, it's the distance we can't explain
Still I reach for you, in the pourin' rain
Like a change in the weather, here comes the sunThings could only get better
Hey babe, believe meTough times don't last, lovers do
Baby, don't give up, on me and you
'Cause trouble's like a storm that's gonna pass
Tough times don't lastYou say now that your heart is breakin'
From the wild times that you've lived
Better measure the risks that you're takin'
Hey babe, it only get betterTough times don't last, lovers do
Baby, don't give up, on me and you
'Cause trouble's like a storm that's gonna pass
Tough times don't
Tough times don't last, lovers do
Me and you
Believe me baby, oh yea
Tough times don't last
Baby now, oh yea
Na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na
Oh yea
It's me
It's you
Oh yea
Tough times don't last

Bad English was an American rock band formed by 3 ex-members of the band The Babys, Jonathan Cain, John Waite and Ricky Phillips (now in Styx) along with Journey guitarist Neal Schon. The band's first, self titled album released in 1988, gave the band two hit singles in the United States, "When I See You Smile" and "Price of Love". However, on their second album, entitled "Backlash", the one and only single failed to enter the U.S. Top 40, peaking at number 42.
