Toxic Lyrics

Sticks and stones may break my bones
But words can burn a happy home
It's true, I've got words for youThe past is gone, it's gone forever
Don't tell me my pain is pleasure
You, you haven't got a clueOh, oh, I wanna cry but I don't make a sound
I am your child and your child is feeling down
Everybody's toxic in this townAll God's children fade and die
In the name of let's get high
Amen, you do it againI pray the Lord, my soul to keep
And when you're coming down, I'll be asleep
I can't pretend, it's killing me againOh, oh, I wanna cry but I don't make a sound
I am your child and your child is feeling down
Everybody's toxic in this townHold me, my Lord
I'm coming down
Coming down
Oh, me, my Lord
I'm coming downOh, oh, I wanna cry but I don't make a sound
I am your child and your child is feeling down

Everybody's toxic in this townOh, oh, I wanna cry but I don't make a sound
I am your child and your child is feeling down
Everybody's toxic in this townStick and stones may break my bones
But words can burn a happy home
It's true, I've got words for you

Robert Peter Williams (born 13 February 1974, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire) is an English singer, songwriter, and record producer. While Williams' early pop career started with the hit boy band Take That, he has found far greater success since taking his leave in 1995. Williams has sold over 70 million records worldwide, which ranks him among the best-selling music artists worldwide. He is the best-selling British solo artist in the United Kingdom and the best selling non-Latino artist in Latin America.

Six of his albums are among the top 100 biggest-selling albums in the United Kingdom. He has also been honoured with seventeen BRIT Awards—more than any other artist—and seven ECHO Awards. In 2004, he was inducted into the UK Music Hall of Fame after being voted as the "Greatest Artist of the 1990s."

The Candy Songfacts reports that Williams teamed up with his Take That bandmate Gary Barlow, to write the first single from his ninth studio album, Take The Crown. "Candy" will be released October 29, 2012.
