Train In Vain Lyrics

Say you stand by your man
Tell me something I don't understand
You said, you love me and that's a fact
Then you left me, said you felt trapped
Well, some things you can explain away
But my heartache's in me till this day
Did you stand by me? No, not at all
Did you stand by me? No way
All the times when we were close
I'll remember these things the most
I see all my dreams come tumbling down
I won't be happy without you around
So all alone, I keep the wolves at bay
There is only one thing that I can say
Did you stand by me? No, not at all
Did you stand by me? No way
You must explain why this must be
Did you lie when you spoke to me?

Did you stand by me? No, not at all
Now I got a job but it don't pay
I need new clothes, I need somewhere to stay
But without all these things I can do
But without your love, I won't make it through
But you don't understand my point of view
I suppose there's nothing I can do
Did you stand by me? No, not at all
Did you stand by me? No way
You must explain why this must be
Did you lie when you spoke to me?
Did you stand by me?
Did you stand by me? No, not at all
Did you stand by me? No way
Did you stand by me? No, not at all
Did you stand by me? No way

Rancid is a punk rock band which formed in Berkeley, California, United States in 1991. The band consists of Tim "Lint" Armstrong (vocals, guitar), Lars Frederiksen (guitar), Matt Freeman (bass) and Brendan Stieneckert (drums). The band has released seven albums: "Rancid" (1993), "Let's Go" (1994), "...And Out Come the Wolves" (1995), "Life Won't Wait" (1998), "Rancid" (2000), "Indestructible" (2003) and "Let the Dominoes Fall" (2009). The band originally consisted of Armstrong, Freeman (both former members of Operation Ivy) and drummer Brett Reed, with Frederiksen joining in 1993. Reed left in 2006 and was replaced by Stieneckert.

To date, Rancid has released seven studio albums, one split album, one compilation, two extended plays, and a series of live online-only albums, and has been featured on a number of compilation albums. The band has independently sold over four million records worldwide,[4] making it one of the most successful independent punk groups of all time. The band rose to fame in 1994 with its second studio album, Let's Go, featuring the single "Salvation". In the following year, Rancid released its highly successful album ...And Out Come the Wolves, which produced its best-known songs "Roots Radicals", "Ruby Soho" and "Time Bomb", and was certified gold and platinum by the RIAA, selling over one million copies in the United States alone. Its next four albums, Life Won't Wait, Rancid, Indestructible and Let the Dominoes Fall, were also critically acclaimed, though not as successful as ...And Out Come the Wolves. Rancid is currently working on an eighth studio album, which is said to be recorded in September 2011, and expected to be released in 2012.
