Train On Fire Lyrics

Take this to the emperor
Tell him his dirty army is defeated
Tell him I’m the last of soldiers
That stands today
And tell him he don’t have to fear me
But I hold his wife and daughter in a basement
They don’t need no light or food
From hands bloody from your tyranny
And tell my ma I’m gonna be alright
And tell my pa I’m gonna be alright
Tell my love we’re gonna have a lot of fun
We’ll sing, la, la, la
The day when he sees me
He’s gonna think that I’m too young for revolution
But I’ve got my future
Fighting his history
So tell him I’m sorry

But if we’ve had enough of his ego
There’s gonna be blood
Old blood filling the streets of the night
And tell my son I’m gonna be alright
And tell my mom I’m gonna be alright
Tell my love we’re gonna have a lot of fun
We’ll sing, la, la, la
And tell my ma I’m gonna be alright
And tell my pa I’m gonna be alright
Tell my love we’re gonna have a lot of fun
Just sing, la, la, la
And tell the emperor I’m gonna be alright
And tell the king I’m gonna be alright
Tell my mom I’m gonna be alright
Just sing, la, la, la, la, la, la, la

Mando Diao are a rock band from Borlänge, Sweden. According to the band, the name Mando Diao has no meaning at all, but rather appeared to band member Björn Dixgård in a dream. Their sound is influenced by The Animals and Oasis. The roots of Mando Diao date back to 1995 when Björn Dixgård was a member of a band called Butler. Band members came and went; four years later, the remaining line-up chose to proceed more seriously in their musical efforts. Björn Dixgård and Gustaf Norén locked themselves up in a summer house and spent six months writing songs.
