Trap Lyrics

Drowning like a fly in my drink
You drone about being on the brink
But I really don't care what you think
Oh, I'm sick of it all, sick of it allI hate the way it's always the same
Hate recrimination and blame
And you just wait for me to fuck up again
Oh, I'm sick of it all, sick of it allThe ways you try and put me down
Sweet revenge for the things I've done
The ways you try and twist me around
Give me a taste of my own medicineDrowning like a fly in my drink
You whine about being out of sync
But I really don't care what you think
Oh, I'm sick of it all, sick of it allOh, I hate the way you want me to be
Hate regret and humility
And you just wait for me to fall at your feet
Oh, I'm sick of it all, sick of it allThe ways you try and run me down
Make me pay for the things I've been
The ways you try and push me around

All you want to do is winAny love you once felt for me
Has turned into this travesty
Of selfishness and jealousy
So why can't you just let me go?Any love you once felt for me
Has turned into this travesty
Of selfishness and jealousy
So why can't I just let you go?

The founding members of Dubtonic Kru are Deleon Jubba White and Strickland Stone Stone, a dynamic Drum & Bass duo who, over the years have contributed to the development of modern Roots Reggae with their unique sound and approach that intertwines Jubbas mesmerizing Reggae/Jazz Fusion drumming with Stones groovy, yet pulsating bass lines.

The Kru has gained about a decade and a half of experience from touring and or recording with the legendary likes of Max Romeo, U-Roy, Burning Spear, The Mighty Diamonds as well as modern day artistes such as Bushman, Junior Kelly, Richie Spice, Lutan Fyah and Voicemail to name a few.

One of the significant milestones in their careers was the composition of the I Swear rhythm, a rhythm that took the Reggae arena by storm, which featured Chuck Fendas I Swear and Richie Spices Marijuana pon di corner to name a few.

The Kru became a more complete music machine with the additions of longtime friend and versatile guitarist Craig McCalla, Jallanzo, another friend and guitarist which also later added his strong vocal ability and young talented Luke Dixon on work stations.

Another turning point of the groups dynamic came with yet another addition ,a very unique and powerful singer to round out the already electrifying dub compositions with sometimes spoken words by Jubba. Kamau, the Quiet Warrior, who already had one album and two popular singles to his credit Sight a Revolution and Goodbye Babe under the Island Treasure label, brings a revolutionary voice to the Kru.

Their songs and spoken words are consciously thought provoking, while their rhythm/dub section walks through the passage of time with a gritty sound that rolls stones and break fences. This past summer, 2008, Dubtonic Kru once again stepped out on European soil, this time as a complete unit. The Kru bonded with audiences through remarkable performances and further solidified their place in the Music Industry.

Dubtonic Kru is dedicated to raising the bars and keeping it interestingly spontaneous.
