Traveler Lyrics

It's a broken morning outside
Go easy on my mind
'Cos you're this dream I'm hangin' on
And I'm tryin' to meet the dawnAnd the longest way I traveled
From the darkness to the light
Lord, it's been a million miles
In these prisons I can't abideI'm half way here, I'm half way there
I'm half way here, I'm half way there
I'm half way here, I'm half way there
All along I've been the traveler, yeahForever outta time
Forever just unwinds
I see the green beyond the blue
And I'm tryin' to make it throughAnd the longest way I traveled
From the darkness to the light
Lord, it seems a million miles
All my brothers I can't unbindI'm half way here, I'm half way there
I'm half way here, I'm half way there
I'm half way here, I'm half way there

Oh Lord, I been the traveler, yeahIt's why the world is cold
Go easy on my soul
'Cos you're this dream I'm hangin' on
And I'm tryin' to meet the dawnAnd the longest way I traveled
From the darkness to the light
Lord, it been a million miles
In these prisons I can't abideHalf way here, I'm half way there
I'm half way here, I'm half way there
I'm half way here, I'm half way there
I'm half way here, I'm half way there
I'm half way here, I'm half way there
All along I been the traveler, yeahAll along I been the traveler
All along I been the traveler
All along I been the traveler
All along I been the traveler

There are two bands with the name Screaming Trees: 1. Screaming Trees were a grunge band formed in Ellensburg, Washington in 1985. Their sound was a mix of 60's psychedelia and punk rock, and even though they were critically acclaimed by many, they never achieved the superstardom of their peers. Following the Dust tour, Screaming Trees took another hiatus. After a June 25th 2000 concert to celebrate the opening Seattle's Experience Music Project, the group unsurprisingly announced their official breakup.
