Trippin' On a Hole In a Paper Heart Lyrics

Don't cut out my paper heart
I ain't dyin' anyway
Take a look at eye full towers
Never trust them dirty liarsSippin' lemon yellow booze
Ole' Leadbelly sings the blues
All dressed up on wedding day
Keep on trippin' anywayI am, I am, I said, "I'm not myself
I'm not dead and I'm not for sale
So keep your bankroll lottery
Just have your deathbed motorcade"Fake the heat and scratch the itch
Skinned up knees and salty lips
I'll breathe your life Vicks Vapor life
And when you binge I purge alikeLet go it's harder holding on
One more trip and I'll be gone
So keep your head up
Keep it on, just a whisper I'll be goneTake a breath and make it big
It's the last you'll ever get
Break your neck with diamond noose

It's the last you'll ever chooseI am, I am, I said, "I'm not myself
I'm not dead and I'm not for sale
Hold me closer, closer let me go
Let me be, just let me be"I am, I am, I said, "I'm not myself
I'm not dead and I'm not for sale
So keep your bankroll lottery
Just have your deathbed motorcade"I am, I am, I said, "I'm not myself
I'm not dead and I'm not for sale
Hold me closer, closer let me go
Let me be, just let me be"I am, I am, I said, "I'm not myself
I'm not dead and I'm not for sale
So keep your bankroll lottery
Just have your deathbed motorcade"

The band was originally active from 1986 to 2003, and reunited in 2008.

The band's five studio albums have sold over 17 million copies in the United States alone. The band has had fifteen top ten singles on the Billboard rock charts, including six number ones, and one number one album on the pop charts (1994's Purple). In 2003, the band released the greatest hits compilation Thank You. Around this time, band members began going their separate ways. After the band's break-up in 2003 , Weiland became the frontman of Velvet Revolver with former members of Guns N' Roses. The DeLeo brothers formed the band Army Of Anyone with Richard Patrick of the band Filter. Kretz founded Bomb Shelter Studios in Los Angeles.

The band reunited in 2008 after Weiland split from Velvet Revolver, kicking off the tour at the Rock on the Range festival in Columbus, Ohio. The band released their self titled sixth album in 2010.
