Truly Mellow Lyrics

true mellow, take me down to your hotel
can't you see, true mellow?
I'm no ordinary clown
I just sit in the dark
with my jewelry in a box
'cause I like the way it sounds
it's truly mellow
true mellow, I enjoy you summers cool
can't you see, true mellow?
I won't be taken for a fool
I just lie on the hood of my car
outside the fence to the airport
and watch the planes touching down
it's truly mellow

true mellow, take me down to your old school
I was young, true mellow
I didn't play by any rules
I got caught smoking pot
in the teacher's parking lot
they took my weed, but not my high
and I was truly mellow
la, da, da (la, da, da)
la, da, da (la, da, da)
la, da, da (la, da, da)
la, da, da (la, da, da)
la, da, da (la, da, da)
la, da, da (la, da, da)
truly mellow
