Truth Doesn't Make a Noise Lyrics

My baby's got a heart of stone
Can't you people just leave her alone
She never did nothing to hurt you
So just leave her aloneThe motion of her tiny hands
And the quiver of her bones below
Are the signs of a girl alone
And tell you everything you need to knowI can't explain it, I feel it often
Everytime I see her face
But the way you treat her
Fills me with rage and I
Want to tear apart the placeYou try to tell her what to do
And all she does is stare at you
Her stare is louder than your voice
Because truth doesn't make a noise
No truth doesn't make a noise
The truth doesn't make a noiseI can't explain it, I feel it often
Everytime I see her face
But the way you treat her

It fills me with rage and I
Want to tear apart the place

The White Stripes were an alternative rock band, formed in 1997 in Detroit, Michigan, United States. They disbanded in 2011. The group consisted of songwriter Jack White (vocals, piano/keyboards, guitar) and Meg White (drums, vocals). After releasing several singles and three albums within the Detroit independent music underground, The White Stripes rose to prominence in 2002, as part of the garage rock revival scene. Their successful albums White Blood Cells and Elephant drew them attention from a large variety of media outlets in the United States and the United Kingdom.
