Turn the Page Lyrics

Yeah, Bobby V, Darkchild, uh
We doin' it like this right here
Check this out, yeah
Can't believe you chose to start the night this way
We were just ‘bout to go out
Then you said wait, baby, no sit down
Baby, girl, I just knew right then
Something was wrong with ya
You said I can't be with ya
Then it started to feel like my heart jumped out my chest
Felt like I lost my breath
This is not how we're supposed to be, baby
The story has just begun
We've only turn the page once
And trust me this is such a beautiful one, baby
You don't have to turn the page
I read the story, it ends with you and me
You don't have to walk away

The story will change, baby, please don't turn the page
You don't have to turn the page
I read the story, it ends with you and me
You don't have to walk away
The story will change, baby, please don't turn the page
Don't turn it, don't turn it, don't
Baby, please don't turn the page
Don't turn it, don't turn it, don't
Baby, please don't turn the page
Don't turn it, don't turn it, don't
Baby, please don't turn the page
Don't turn it, don't turn it, don't
Baby, please don't turn the page
No, don't give it up, try to believe what I'm seein’ in us
Don't front, girl, you know I can possibly be the one
And I know you might be stuck in the past but I
Wanna give you my heart to make it all better
All he took you through, I would never do that to you
He made it so hard for me to love you
But I'm here now, how can I make it clear now?
The story ain't over, not now, I can't let you end this now, baby
You don't have to turn the page
I read the story, it ends with you and me
You don't have to walk away
The story will change, baby, please don't turn the page
You don't have to turn the page
I read the story, it ends with you and me
You don't have to walk away
The story will change, baby, please don't turn the page
As if it wasn't enough, I got the ring in my truck
I've been plannin' a week to get on one knee
Baby, this just ain't you, I know that he hurt you
And we're nothin' alike, I'll prove it all tonight
And you know I love you and everything will be cool
And you'll say you love me and forget all your pain
You know this is true, I'm doin' all this for you
So end of it all, you don't have to
You don't have to turn the page
I read the story, it ends with you and me
You don't have to walk away
The story will change, baby, please don't turn the page
You don't have to turn the page
I read the story, it ends with you and me
You don't have to walk away
The story will change, baby, please don't turn the page
You don't have to turn the page
I read the story, it ends with you and me
You don't have to walk away
The story will change, baby, please don't turn the page
You don't have to turn the page
I read the story, it ends with you and me
You don't have to walk away
The story will change, baby, please don't turn the page
Don't turn it, don't turn it, don't
Baby, please don't turn the page
Don't turn it, don't turn it, don't
Baby, please don't turn the page
Don't turn it, don't turn it, don't
Baby, please don't turn the page
Don't turn it, don't turn it, don't
Baby, please don't turn the page

There are two artists with this name:
1. A British rapper
2. A Finnish rock band

1. Mike Skinner (born November 27, 1978), more commonly known by his stage name The Streets, is a rapper from Birmingham, England. He was born in Barnet in North London and that's where his accent, sometimes called 'Mockney' by the press, comes from. You can hear his actual accent on the start of 'Fake Streets Hats' from his album The Hardest Way To Make An Easy Living recorded in 2006. He moved to Birmingham shortly after he was born and is a Birmingham City fan. He has suffered from epilepsy since he was five.

He signed a five album record deal in 2002, and has fulfilled his contract by releasing five albums: Original Pirate Material (2002), All Got Our Runnin's (2003), A Grand Don't Come for Free (2004), The Hardest Way To Make An Easy Living (2006), Everything Is Borrowed (2008) and Computers and Blues (2011).

When playing live, Skinner is joined by Kevin Mark Trail on backing vocals, Johnny Drum Machine on drums, Wayne Fibes on guitar and bass, Chris Brown on keyboards and Magic Mike on samplers.

In January 2011, Skinner's management announced that Skinner will no longer perform as The Streets.
