Two Divided By Love (Re-Recorded / Remastered) Lyrics

Two divided by love
Can only be one
And one is a lonely number
Two divided by love
Can only be sad
Can only hurt one anotherEvery night your tears come down
And I know how youre feelin inside
Loneliness is no ones friend
Ive been takin the same kind of ride
And that just shouldnt be
If youre still lovin me
Come on babyTwo divided by love
Can only be one
And one is a lonely number
Two divided by love
Can only be sad
Can only hurt one anotherId by lyin to myself
If I said I was gettin along

All I do is think of you and I know
That its here you belong
Come on girl make your way
We can start from today
Puttin it back together causeTwo divided by love
Can only be one
And one is a lonely number
Two divided by love
Can only be sad
Can only hurt one anotherTake away the rain from a flower
And the flower just cant grow
Take away you from me girl
Out of my mind
Out of my mind
Out of my mind
Out of my mindTwo divided by love
Can only be sad
Can only be broken hearted
Two divided and blue
Should take what they had
And go back to where they startedTwo divided by love
Can only be one
And one is a lonely number
Two divided by love
Can only be sad
Can only hurt one another

The Grass Roots is an American rock band that began as the brainchild of songwriting duo P.F. Sloan and Steve Barri. Between 1966 and 1975 they had a series of major hits -- most notably "Let's Live for Today," "Midnight Confessions," "Temptation Eyes" and "Two Divided by Love" -- that helped define the essence of the era's AM radio. During this period they charted 14 US Top 40 hits, including seven gold singles and one platinum single, and two had hits collections that effortlessly went gold.
