Two Steppin' Texas Blue Lyrics

Two steppin' Texas blue
Joni Harms
Key/Eb

I'm two steppin' Texas blue
I'm a lonesome lonestar cowboy without you
I've stepped across this whole darned state
To dance again with you
I'm two steppin' Texas blue.
A perfect night, the dance hall was crowded
I was feelin' just right
The band was playin' every song that I knew
And then I saw you, We hit the floor
And danced together like we've been there before
Time passed quickly and we closed the place down
Then you we're nowhere around

And I'm two steppin' Texas blue
I'm a lonesome lonestar cowboy without you
I've stepped across this whole darned state
To dance again with you
I'm two steppin' Texas blue.
12 second instrumental
High and low. I'm gonna search until I finally know
Was it a dream when I was holdin' you tight
On that special night.
Well I'm two steppin' Texas blue
I'm a lonesome lonestar cowboy without you
oh I've stepped across this whole darned state
To dance again with you
I'm two steppin' Texas blue.
I'd even waltz across this whole darned state
To dance again with you
I'm two steppin' Texas blue.

Once upon a time, Country Music was known as “Country & Western.” It was so called for a reason, of course, since that’s where listeners found songs by such greats as Marty Robbins, Patsy Montana, Tex Ritter and Gene Autry — artists who favored the “western” sounds and values. Somewhere along the way, the “Western” was dropped and, over the past decade, the Country Music Industry has increasingly focused the more 70s and 80s pop flavored sounds in an effort to attract a younger audience.
