Under One Condition Lyrics

She's looking in the eye
Of a mind made up
That the pain will last foreverAnd he's headed for a heart
All closed up, will you ever open up?
She said, "Never"What is the secret
To keeping your head and your promises?Oh, "I'll mend your broken heart", she said
Under one condition
If I lift you up, you'll never let me down
Darling under one conditionShe stares at the sky, wondering why the night
Isn't telling her, believe in him
If he could only read to her the pages of his heart
She could see they feel the sameLearning the secret
To keeping their heads and their promisesOh, "I'll mend your broken heart", he said
Under one condition
If I let you in, you'll never push me out
Darling under one condition
And this is my one, this is my one conditionHe's getting closer and she's getting closer
Just one more question, one more answer

It was all they ever wantedOh, "I'll mend your broken heart", she said
Under one condition
If I lift you up, you'll never let me down
Darling under one conditionHear me say, this is my one condition
That if I let you in, you'll never push me out
Darling under one, darling under one condition
I'll mend your broken heart, but darling under one condition
If I lift you up, you'll never, don't let me down

Winger is an American hard rock band formed in New York City, in 1987, that gained popularity during the late 1980s and early 1990s. The band's two platinum albums, Winger and In the Heart of the Young, along with charting singles "Seventeen", "Headed for a Heartbreak" and "Miles Away", put the band on the top of the charts by the early 1990s. In 1990, the band was nominated for an American Music Award for "Best New Heavy Metal Band". As the music scene changed in the early to mid-1990s due to the popularity of grunge, the band faded after their third release, Pull.
