Velvet Water Lyrics

L'eblouissement

De la flamme
Au corps nu
S'arrache a la nuit
Ou scintille l'ame
Du temps devolu
De la flamme
Au corps nuC'est la flamme
Au corps nu
Celle quschintille l'ame
Le temps est devlu
La y brille une flamme
Le nageur n'a plus peur
Il plonge sous la lumiere
Vit dans les elements
Eperdu dans la mer
Sa bouche veut le selVelvet water (translation)
See the wave hollowing out like an ember in the wind
Look there,it's here that one is comfortable
Time runs away, now and thenWhen time that passes and loses it's way can't find itself
It's the light or the shadowed look that guides my steps, vain battleAnd yet
When he/it reveals itself
The flame's dazzlement
In the naked body
Fighting in the night
Where does the soul of time
That is attached to the flame
In the naked body glow
( it's the flame
In the naked body
It's here that the soul glows
Time is attached
There where a flame burns
The swimmer is fearless
He dives beneath the light
Lives in the elements
Submerged in the sea
His mouth wants salt.)

Stereolab are a UK-based band whose style, mixing 1950s-1960s pop and lounge music with the "motorik" beat of krautrock, was one of the first to which the term "post-rock" was applied. They are noted for the use of vintage keyboard instruments like Moog synthesizers and Vox and Farfisa organs. Stereolab is also notable for founding their own record label, Duophonic Records, with a grant from UK charity The Prince's Trust. The band is often referred to as "The Groop" by their fans (and in the title of their song "The Groop Play Chord X" on the album Space Age Batchelor Pad Music).
