Vertigo Lyrics

Dear people, I've seen something
I can't leave alone or give to chance
No matter how I tryBorn from the knowledge of a girl
Thrown into the arms of man
The mother of necessity
The child of warSo I feel it and I need it
And I heed it then I let it be done
Until I know it and I show it
And it grows until we both become oneThe sound of the swiss bells
The promise of a young girl
Both falling softly on the white, white hillsVersus a famous face
In the sheen of a Cadillac
See you some other place
Man, I'm going backTo where I'm captured and caressed
And life's undressed and left where living belongs
To where I feel it and it heals
And we've revealed until we both become oneI see the foot of the hill
Embrace the sky and then it's easy

(It's easy)
Forget framo and I
I wonder why and see the real me
(It's easy)I climb to the top of the tower
I see a shooting star
Reach out to touch it and it falls
AloneNow that her smile has stuck
I cannot go back to your frown land
Now that her sun is up
I cannot go back to your downlandBecause I feel it and I need it
And I heed it and I let it be done
Until I know it and I show it
And it grows until we just become oneSo bin your filas, babe
Pull on your shoes
And scale the real heights
(It's easy)The gifts that goodness gave
Destroy the blues
And leave a love light
(It's everything)We climb to the top of the tower
We see a shooting star
Reach out to touch it and we fall
As one

Aztec Camera was a Scottish indie pop/new wave band from Glasgow. The line-up of the band changed several times over the years, but the constant member had been guitarist/vocalist/songwriter Roddy Frame. Founding members included Campbell Owens (bass) and Dave Mulholland (drums). Ex-Bluebells bassist Craig Gannon was a member from 1983 through 1985, before joining The Smiths. Guitarist Malcolm Ross (formerly of Josef K and Orange Juice) also joined in 1983, and appeared on the Knife album.
