Very First Time Lyrics

Don't answer the phone
Don't answer the door
Pretend nobody lives around here anymoreNo need to get up
I brought the wine
And I feel alright
For the very first timeAnd I believe I'm protected
By the things I can't see
I don't believe in Jesus
I'm told he believes in me
And I think that's good
Cause it's a long hard climb
And I feel alright
For the very first timeAnd the things I don't remember
Don't matter anymore
And the things I need to do
Are all waiting at the doorSo don't answer the door
Don't pick up the phone
Don't leave me here

Cause I hate to be alone
Between love everlasting
And meaningless rhyme
Sits feeling good for the very first timeI feel alright for the very first time
