Vicksburg Blues Lyrics

Alright lets go gents!....
Piano intro...
Now when I went up Mulberry..Un-huh
Boys and I turned up clay.
Now when I went up Mulberry,
(My) Boys and I turned up clay.
I was looking for my sweet baby.....
But she had moved away.
Some said she done moved out on Walnut..yeah..
Some say she done moved out on Pine.
Some said she done moved out on Walnut..hey hey
Some say she done moved out on Pine
Now wherever she really is partner,
She restin' on my mind.
Now just as soon as that train - Baby! Mama! Honey?....
Honey...Make up in the yard!
Now soon as that train pretty baby? Pretty baby!
Darlin' make up in the yard.

Now I'm Vicksburg bound....
That's if them boys don't have me barred!
Instrumental. ....Yeah!
Now just as soon as that train - Baby! Mama! Honey!
Make up in the yard!
Now...Just as soon as that train Baby. Mama? Honey!
Make up in that yard!
Now, I'm Vicksburg bound,
That's if them folks don't have me barred.

Savoy Brown is a British blues band formed in the 1960s, originally known as the Saveloy Brown Blues Band. Their 1969 single, Train to Nowhere (with singer Chris Youlden), was viewed by many as the last gasp of the blues scene in Great Britain. Although Savoy Brown never reached much acclaim in their home nation, they developed a loyal core following in the United States. In the 1960s and 1970s, the band managed to penetrate the Billboard Hot 100.
