Villiers Terrace Lyrics

I've been up to Villiers Terrace
To see what's a-happening
There's people rolling 'round on the carpet
Mixing up the medicineBeen up to Villiers Terrace
I saw what's a-happening
People rolling 'round on the carpet
Biting wool and pulling string
You said people rolled on carpet
But I never thought they'd do those thingsI've been up to Villiers Terrace
I've been in a daze for a days
I drank some of the medicine
And I didn't like the tasteI've been up to Villiers Terrace
I've been in a daze for the days
People rolling 'round on my carpet
Biting wool and pulling string
You said people rolled on carpet
But I never thought they'd do those thingsI was been up to Villiers Terrace
To see what's a-happening

There's people rolling 'round on the carpet
Passing 'round the medicineBeen up to Villiers Terrace
I saw what's a-happening
People rolling 'round on the carpet
Biting wool and pulling string
You said people rolled on carpet, boys
But I never thought they'd do those thingsBeen down to Villiers Terrace
Been down to Villiers Terrace
Been down to Villiers Terrace

Echo & the Bunnymen are a British post-punk band formed in Liverpool in 1978. The original line-up consisted of Ian McCulloch (of The Crucial Three), Will Sergeant and Les Pattinson. There are many stories, probably apocryphal, that the quartet was completed by a drum machine known as "Echo". By the time of their debut album, 1980's Crocodiles - a moderate UK hit - the drum machine had been replaced by Pete de Freitas.
