Voice of Reason Lyrics

It's been 48 hours since I've seen you,
How can this be so right when its at the wrong time?
Your image doesn't fade out of my view,
I close my eyes, but I just can't seem to get you out of my mind.Shut out the voice of reason.Never want to say goodbye, never wanted to let go.
So we hold each other close, before we let go.
A different time, a different place, this would end a different way,
So we hesitantly say goodbye, I'll never be the same.Promises will see this through,
My bet's on you 10 to 1 but it looks like we still lose,
You ask for answers I can't give you, you look to me,
But there's nothing left that I can say to you.Shut out the voice of reason.Never want to say goodbye, never wanted to let go.
So we hold each other close, before we let go.
A different time, a different place, this would end a different way,
So we hesitantly say goodbye, I'll never be the same.We can't hold on to the past this can't last forever.
We can't hold on to the past this can't last forever.
We can't hold on to the past this can't last forever.
We can't hold on to the past this can't last forever.Shut out the voice of reason.Never want to say goodbye, never wanted to let go.
So we hold each other close, before we let go.
A different time, a different place, this would end a different way,

So we hesitantly say goodbye, I'll never be the same.I'll never be the same.

The Eyeliners formed several years ago when three sisters from Albuquerque, NM wanted to start a band.
Gel and Lisa took on the responsibilities of guitar and bass respectively and Laura was going to be the singer. Since they never set out to form an all-girl band, The Eyeliners auditioned both male and female drummers, but couldn’t find anyone who understood the direction they wanted to go in. They began to wonder if this band would ever become a reality. That’s when fate stepped in. Gel had borrowed a drum set from a friend that they were using for the drummer auditions.
