Waiting For The Light To Change Lyrics

Brazen is love's redeemer
When you have so far to go
It loves the true believer
For the innocence they own
Life is good, life is grand
When you're sittin' on top of the world
Life is good when it's in your hands, your hands
And nobody can change your world
I'm just waiting for the light to change
I'm just waiting for the light to change
I'm just waiting for the light to change
I'm just waiting
All my prize possessions that I thought I needed so
Dragged me down on a razor with a heaviness they tow
Always searching for a love that's in bloom
It's a warm and soft embrace
Hoping you'll never be lonely again
It's a fear that you just can't face

I'm just waiting for the light to change
I'm just waiting for the light to change
I'm just waiting for the light to change
I'm just waiting
Life is good and life is grand
When you're sitting on top of the world
Life is good when it's in your hands your hands
And nobody can change your world
I'm just waiting for the light to change
I'm just waiting for the light to change
I'm just waiting for the light to change
I'm just waiting
I'm just waiting, I'm just waiting
I'm just waiting, I'm just waiting

1. Tonic is an American rock band formed in Los Angeles, California in 1993 that has earned two Grammy nominations to date. Originally founded by Emerson Hart and Jeff Russo, later members have included Dan Lavery, Kevin Shepard, and Dan Rothchild. Signed to a recording contract in 1995, the band released their debut album Lemon Parade in 1996. The single "If You Could Only See" reached #11 on the Billboard Airplay Hot 100, and Lemon Parade itself reached platinum status.

Tonic spent much of the next two years touring, adding to its reputation as a relentlessly gigging band. In addition to extensive touring Tonic produced other work, including songs for feature film soundtracks like Scream 2 and The X-Files. After self-producing their 1999 album Sugar, they earned two Grammy nominations for their 2002 album Head on Straight. The band then went on hiatus beginning in 2004 while its members pursued solo work and other musical endeavors. Tonic became active again in late 2008, embarking on a tour and releasing a greatest hits compilation. These efforts set the stage for their self-titled fourth studio album, which was released in 2010. Tonic continues to actively tour.
