Wake Up (Shipwreck) Lyrics

Its a beautiful landscape
The sunset makes the coast look so clear
Its the kind that makes your heart break
But no one has those kind of problems hereAnd from the sage brush comes a dove
It comes to take away the ones you love
In camouflage comes the dove
And it comes to take away the ones you loveWake up you faithless
See your heartbreak goneThe wolf has found a way
To lead this foolish flock of sheep astray
And the clouds make fearful noises and slowly turn black and shake
The darkness comes around you and dark has come to takeAnd it will cut the life right from you
Leave you standing in the rain
With nowhere left to run to
And no one left to love you but the painWake up you faithless
See your heartbreak gone
There's no use trying to hold onWake up you faithless
You wont be here for long
And this ship wreck will soon be goneAll that I know is what Ive learned from troubled times

Ive stood alone on the last shore where putting hand under black skies
I have been hunted through the valleys and the corners of my life
Fight or dieWake up you faithless
And see your heartbreak gone
Its no use trying to hold onWake up you faithless
You wont be here for long
And this ship wreck will soon be goneWake up you faithless

The Classic Crime is a Seattle-based alternative rock band. They released their Tooth & Nail debut album, 'Albatross', in 2006. It marked the fastest first-week sales for a new artist in the history of T&N. The band members are Matt MacDonald (vocals), Justin DuQue (guitar), Robert "Cheeze" Negrin (guitar), Alan Clark (bass), and Paul "Skip" Erickson (drums). While touring in support of their full-length album Albatross, the band created the Acoustic EP: Seattle Sessions, which was simply a compilation of songs they created while on the road.
