Walk Out the Front Door Lyrics

I can't, I can't make love
To your memory
I can't put my arms
Around what used to beEverything I had
Was a part of me
Well, you went and it walked
Out that front door with youMy friends tell me
It'll be alright
But my friends never, no
Never held you close at nightEvery dream I had
That could see the light
Well, you went and it walked
Out the front door with youWell, you went and it walked
Out the front door with youI never knew, I never thought
That you'd take my love and tear it apart
I gave you my best, when I gave you my heartOh, are you listening?
Or is this all in vain?
I still can't believe

You're never comin' back againEverything I had
Except my pain
Well, you went and it walked
Out the front door with youWell, you went and it walked
Out that front door with you
Well, you went and it walked
Well, you went and it walked
Right out the front door with youWell, you went and it walked, right out
Never comin' back no more
Right out

Bonnie Raitt, (born November 8, 1949) is an American blues and R&B singer, songwriter, and guitarist who was born in Burbank, California, the daughter of Broadway musical star John Raitt. Raitt began playing guitar at an early age, something not a lot of her high school girlfriends did. "I had played a little at school and at camp," she later recalled in a July 2002 interview. "My parents would drag me out to perform for my family, like all parents do, but it was a hobby—nothing more...I think people must wonder how a white girl like me became a blues guitarist.
