Wanna Be Lyrics

To watch the leaves grow on the trees with you
Is out of question
I walk into this summer all alone
The usual sessionYou feel your instinct then you act
But was it your intention?
To leave me down and broken
Now, you've ended our ascension, yeahI still can feel the beach sand in my shoes
Remember when?
We talked along the ocean's song
'Til blue from black fade inBut that was then I learned to live
Without you far within
I ask you why you're back to try
To let me lose again? You brought me here
You wet my taste
You disappear without a trace
It wasn't me who made the call'Cause now I wanna be
Where you sleep, where you laugh
Where you breathe and I hate to say

Still I swear, brown your eyes, gone awayShould I feel some closure
I deserve if that at least
And would you be so kind to show
Reasons for your releaseYou woke me up from a distant past
I left behind complete
The message that you sent that night
Now, falls to bittersweetOr was it me?
My honesty
You fail to show, I never know
It wasn't me who made the call'Cause now I wanna be
Where you sleep, where you laugh
Where you breathe and I hate to say
Still I swear, brown your eyes and gone awayWas it me?
My honesty
You fail to show I never knowYou brought me here
You wet my taste
You disappear without a traceDid you think I'd ever lead you wrong?
Just know I'll save all of our moments
That we areAnd still I wanna be
Where you sleep, where you laugh
Where you breathe and I hate to say
Still I swear, brown your eyes and gone awayNow I wanna be
(Someday you'll wish you never)
Where you sleep
(Someday you'll wish you never)Where you laugh
(Someday you'll wish you never)
Where you breathe
(Someday you'll wish you never)And I hate to say
(Someday you'll wish you never)
Still I swear
(Someday you'll wish you never)Brown your eyes
(Someday you'll wish you never)
Gone away
(Someday you'll wish you never)You took it all the way
You took it all away

Nine Days is a rock band which was popular in the early 2000s. Formed in Oyster Bay by John Hampson and Brian Desveaux, they released three albums independently during the 90s before their mainstream debut album, The Madding Crowd, was released in 2000. Their greatest popularity came from a handful of hits from The Madding Crowd such as "Absolutely (Story of a Girl)" and "If I Am".

Another album, So Happily Unsatisfied was scheduled for release in 2003. Unfortunately due to complications with their record label, Sony, this album was never actually released as the band was no longer in possession of the rights of the songs.

In 2006, Nine Days' official website updated with a statement that the album would finally see an actual release, but no other specifics were given.

After the split with Sony, the band released another album under their own record label. This album can be purchased at the bands website Nine Days Homepage.

Although the band is for the most part still together and perform occasional shows, both vocal artists, John Hampson and Brian Desveaux have pursued solo careers and their music is available for purchase from their websites respectively.

In mid-August 2006, Nine Days reunited and went back to the studio to record.[1] Slow Motion Life (Part One), a new EP with 6 songs, was released on January 19, 2007 and is available from their website. Part Two is planned for release in early summer 2007.

According to the Absolutely (Story of a Girl) Songfacts, Hampson ended up becoming a high school English teacher.
