War of the Worlds Lyrics

Tomorrow they ship me out
We know things were bloody over there
You spent those nights alone not knowing if I was dead
I knew we'd be together again,
this is not the end of the worldThe war of the worlds, the war is over, call me crazy
We could love each other again
The war of the worlds, the war is over, maybe baby
We'll start to love each other againSo baby they're pulling us out
You know, I've seen some pretty ugly things
Then the fight stopped, the guns dropped at the last shot
Till we count down New Years in Times Square
New York Times read it's not the end of the worldThe war of the worlds, the war is over, call me crazy
We could love each other again
The war of the worlds, the war is over, maybe baby
We'll start to love each other againTonight they're flying us in,
and it's a countdown to the year two thousand
Armageddon, hell or heaven,
more champagne then you can ever imagine, yeahThe war of the worlds, the war is over, call me crazy

We could love each other again
The war of the worlds, the war is over, maybe baby
We'll start to love each other againFight stopped, guns dropped, last shot

Sense Field was a post-hardcore/emocore band from Los Angeles, California that formed in 1991 after the then members of the DC-infuenced emocore band Reason to Believe decided to break away and try something new. The result was immense and they became the mentors for and had a major influence on the bands that brought emo to the mainstream. As such, they are one of the unsung heroes of underground music. Their Revelation Records releases show their willingness to meld sincere emotion with the most positive expressive styles available in hardcore punk. Each one has a distinctive sound.
