Wasting Away Lyrics

Here but a moment, just as quickly you were gone
So sad to think that nothing lasts forever
Not a day goes by I don't question why
I'll never understand
But I'm wasting away without youWhen you left
Took everything
You never said goodbye
Now I'm wasting away without youGet my mind off of things
Whatever it takes to fill the space
Starting to question my faith
Can you hear me, are you even out there?Feels so wrong for me to carry on
I lost the other half of my heart
Now I try to live for today
Cuz on a dime
Your whole life can changeNow who will be there to
Catch me, catch me when I fall
Nothing's the same without youWhen you left
Took everything

You never said goodbye
Now I'm wasting away without youI know you'd want this for me
Perfect in your eyes
The candle's burning for you, and the flame will never die
I don't know where I'm going
Maybe I'm walking blind
Be there to guide me, oh won't youIt's getting quiet
Finding peace finally
I can say time's been a good friend to me
Buried my pain so deep
Couldn't get thru to me
I don't want to live with your ghost, wanna live with your memoryWhen you left
Took everything
You never said goodbye
But I'm braving the day without you
It's not the end
Won't forget
The pain will soon subside
Making my way without you

"I don’t feel sorry for being who I am”, proclaims sharp-tongued singer, guitarist and songwriter, Alexx Calise. Delivering a sound that is both fresh and uniquely her own, Calise combines crunchy rock riffs with probing lyrics and hooky pop melodies. Told throughout most of her career to not play guitar as much or at all, and to pursue a more “proven” musical direction, Calise instead chose to focus even more so on her instrument, practicing some 5-6 hours a day, and follow the only direction she knew how to—her own.
