Way Back Home Lyrics

(Man's got to do what a man's got to do)
Now you know man's got to do what he got to do
You know what I'm saying
(Been here too long)
And a lady like you got to be by my side at all times(I said, a man's got to do what a man's got to do)
I got a dream baby and I got to follow my dream
You know what I'm saying
(Been here too long)
Check outI pack my suitcase this morning, I'm ready to move
I finally got that courage, I'm leaving soon
I left a note on my pillow expressing my view
Want you to be the first to gather the newsCan't deal with the tears, it's making me blue
God knows I care, as much as you do
And to be honest, my baby, I'm worried 'bout you
Girl, I'm worried 'bout you, I'll say nowI can't leave here until I'm certain
That you'd be safe alone
You be holding the guiding light
So that I can find my way back homeI can't leave here until I'm certain

That you'd be safe alone
You be holding the guiding light
So that I can find my way back homeYou got me moving, got me grooving
Is it between you or my gold?
I got my vibe and my pride
Keep my focus all on my strideNeed support and understanding
Are you with me all the way?
Need to know that you are there
So I can make it through my daysI wanna be somebody
I wanna make people happy
And baby, don't you worry
I'll be on my way, I say girlI can't leave here until I'm certain
That you'd be safe alone
And you be holding the guiding light
So that I can find my way back homeI can't leave here until I'm certain
That you'd be safe alone
And you be holding the guiding light
So that I can find my way back homeWay back home
(My way back home)
Way back home
(Looking for them all)
My way back homeI pack my suitcase this morning, I'm ready to move
I finally got that courage, I'm leaving soon
Left a note on my pillow expressing my view
Want you to be the first, girl, to gather the newsCan't deal with the tears, it's making me blue
God knows I care as much as you do
And to be honest, my baby, I'm worried 'bout you
Girl, I'm worried 'bout you, I said I'm worried 'bout youI can't leave here until I'm certain
That you'd be safe alone
You be holding the guiding light
So that I can find my way back homeI can't leave here until I'm certain
That you'd be safe alone
You be holding the guiding light
So that I can find my way back homeWay back home
(I got my [Incomprehensible], I got my [Incomprehensible])
Way back home
([Incomprehensible])Way back home
(Now, baby love, I gotta make it)
Way back home
(Make it on my own)
Way back home
(My way back home)

Shaggy is the name of, at least, two artists.
1, Shaggy (born October 22, 1968, in Kingston, Jamaica as Orville Richard Burrell), is a Jamaican reggae artist who takes his nickname from Scooby-Doo's companion. He is especially notable for his distinctive sub-baritone voice.

His family immigrated to the United States and they settled in the neighborhood of Flatbush, Brooklyn, located in New York City, New York, USA.

In 1988, he joined the United States Marine Corps and served during Operation Desert Storm during the Persian Gulf War.

On his return from Iraq, he decided to pursue his music career and his first hit in 1993: "Oh Carolina", was a dancehall re-make of a ska hit by the Folkes Brothers. The same year, Shaggy appeared on Kenny Dope's hip hop album "The Unreleased Project". He worked together with producers such as Sting Intl., Don One (who cut his first track), Lloyd 'Spiderman' Campbell and Robert Livingston. He had further big hits, including "Boombastic" in 1995.

He then had a major comeback in 2001, featuring worldwide number-one hit singles "It Wasn't Me" and "Angel," the latter of which was built around Merrilee Rush's 1968 hit "Angel of the Morning" (which was remade in 1981 by Juice Newton). The album Hot Shot, from which those cuts came, would hit number one on the Billboard 200.

However, his 2002 release Lucky Day, and the 2005 album Clothes Drop failed to match Hot Shot's success.

Shaggy performed the theme for Showtime (film), a 2002 movie.

2, Shaggy, a swedish rock/blues rock band from the 1970's. Released one album, "Lessons for beginners"
