We Are Going to Be Friends Lyrics

Fall is here, hear the yell
Back to school, ring the bell
Brand new shoes, walking blues
Climb the fence, books and pensI can tell that we are gonna to be friends
I can tell that we are gonna to be friendsWalk with me, Suzy Lee
Through the park and by the tree
We will rest upon the ground
And look at all the bugs we foundSafely walk to school without a sound
Safely walk to school without a soundHere we are, no one else
We walked to school all by ourselves
There's dirt on our uniforms
From chasing all the ants and wormsWe clean up and now it's time to learn
We clean up and now it's time to learnNumbers, letters, learn to spell
Nouns, and books and show and tell
Playtime, we will throw the ball
Back to class, through the hallTeacher marks our height against the wall
Teacher marks our height against the wallAnd we don't notice any time pass
We don't notice anything

We sit side by side in every class
Teacher thinks that I sound funny
But she likes the way you singTonight I'll dream while I'm in bed
When silly thoughts go through my head
'Bout the bugs and alphabet
And when I wake tomorrow I'll betThat you and I will walk together again
I can tell that we are gonna to be friends
So, I can tell that we are gonna to be friends

The White Stripes were an alternative rock band, formed in 1997 in Detroit, Michigan, United States. They disbanded in 2011. The group consisted of songwriter Jack White (vocals, piano/keyboards, guitar) and Meg White (drums, vocals). After releasing several singles and three albums within the Detroit independent music underground, The White Stripes rose to prominence in 2002, as part of the garage rock revival scene. Their successful albums White Blood Cells and Elephant drew them attention from a large variety of media outlets in the United States and the United Kingdom.
