We Are Not The World Lyrics

I've always been your favorite game
And all the world's your sparkling stage
Just another extra in your play, the fool
Tonight, tonightI'm ready for your drama
Stay calm, [Incomprehensible]
You're throwing every hook tonight
Your charismatic lines
Make tears run down their cheeksI've lost the only thing I need
Here's to the plaintiff
And now you've taking her awayI've always been your favorite game
And all the world's your sparkling stage
Just another extra in your play, your fool
Pull out the pinFallen a bomb grenade now
Don't shoot, don't shoot
I'm just a kid like you
We fight for billionaires who bomb our city streetsWhat do I chase?
To find a use for corporate green
Here's to the propaganda

And then they take your life awayI've always been your favorite game
And all the world's your sparkling stage
Just another extra in your playI've always been your favorite game
And all the world's your sparkling stage
Just another extra in your playAnd now that war has been declared
How long until bombs burst in air
We've come too far
Just to let this die, to throw this awayI've always been your favorite game
And all the world's your sparkling stage
Just another extra in your playI've always been your favorite game
And all the world's your sparkling stage
Just another extra in your play
(You're not the ones)In your play
(We're not the ones)
In your play, your fool
(We are not the fools)

Silverstein is a 5-piece rock band from Burlington, Ontario, Canada; formed in 2000. The band name was taken from the famous children's author Shel Silverstein. After several lineup changes, the band acquired Billy Hamilton, a local fan who learned of the band's need for a bassist on the Internet message board "The 905 Board" (an Ontario area outreach board which used to be for local musicians). In Christmas of 2001, he joined the band after Shane Told helped him learn the music for the songs. Following a rehearsal on Boxing Day (December 26) in 2001, he officially debuted with Silverstein.
