We Were Both Wrong Lyrics

MurrayWell, my baby and I
Are apart, I'll tell you why
Now we both had views in a fight,
Why couldn't we say to each other,
"The truth was, we were both wrong?"Well, day after day and night after night,
We would have done one another.
Why haven't we admitted to each other,
We were both wrong.
Coming out one better,
Meant more than a letter to each other,
Make a stand, don't back down,
Just stand your ground and you'll win.I want you back, you can't beat 'em,
After all it's been so long.
I need your love so bad.
You're breaking my heart.
Why don't we say we were both wrong?Coming out one better,
Meant more than one letter to each other,
Just make a stand, don't back down,

Just stand on your ground and you'll win.
I want you back, you can't beat 'em,
After all it's been so long.
I need your love so bad.
You're breaking my heart.
Why don't we say we were both wrong?Well, you're breaking my heart.
Why can't we say we were both wrong?

Dave Edmunds (born April 15, 1944) is a singer, guitarist and producer from Cardiff, Wales. Though he was primarily associated with pub rock and New Wave, and had numerous hits in the late 70's and early 80's, he was steadfastly devoted to pre-Beatles rock and roll. An infrequent songwriter, Edmunds has largely relied on cover songs or custom-written material to sustain his career. In the late 1960s he led a blues-rock trio called Love Sculpture, who scored a quasi-novelty hit by reworking Khachaturian's classical piece "Sabre Dance" as a speed-crazed rock number.
