Weak for You Lyrics

WEAK FOR YOU
WingfieldWe've been just good friends far too long
And it all seems wrong somehow
Come out and make the move, the coast is clear
The time to try is now.I've been watching you
I've been watching you, oh.Seems if we met about a month ago
There'd be no front to crack
But as it is, neither of us know
How to peel the pages back.
Can we do it now? Will you do it for me?
Can't hardly speak for you (I feel myself falling)
My winning streak is you (don't you hear me calling?)
I'm weak for you and all that's missing is your heart
Your heart, your heart, your heart.Counted all the cards we've both laid out
But there's only fifty-one
Keep the joker, I don't mind
But let me have the fun.I've been watching you
I've been watching you.I've reached a peak for you (I feel myself falling)

I'm a freak for you (don't you hear me calling?)
I'm weak for you and all that's missing is your heart
Your heart, your heart, your heart. You don't see the forest for the trees
I may be standing tough
But now I'm on, on my knees.
There's a mystique to you (I feel myself falling)
It may sound Greek to you (don't you hear me calling?)
But I'm weak for you and all that's missing is your love
Your love, your love, your love
Your love, your love, your love. All I wanted was your love
All I wanted was your love.Give me your love
Give me your love.

In the 60's, Colin Blunstone was the lead singer of The Zombies, a british band that developed a distinctive, jazzy sound, in which his soft, laid-back, almost hesitant voice was offset against the equally soft, but flexible and pointy instruments of organ, drum, and bass. The Zombies disbanded. In the early 70's, Blunstone re-emerged as a solo act, and scored several major hits. The music featured rhythm guitar now and ranged from string arranged melodies, to rock, to American folk.
