Wearchest Lyrics

I'm lying to you now that dignity's mine
Around me the trails of damage
I can't fight with memories I can't findI will go and I'll find some way
Believe in the pain with a glass in my hand
The walls that surround me
The sickness insideAre all that consume me now
And I can't fight with memories I can't findI will go and I'll find some way
Believe in the pain with a glass in my hand
The sound of morning rings in my mind
It's easy to blame me most of the timeI will go and I'll find some way
Believe in the pain with a glass in my hand
The sound of morning rings in my mind
It's easy to blame me most of the time

Sarah Blackwood, Steve Hillier and Chris Wilkie first appeared as Dubstar in 1994. Hillier's floating synths, Wilkie's chiming guitar and the ever-plaintive vocals from Sarah Blackwood drew comparisons to Pet Shop Boys, The Smiths and Kirsty MacColl, while the band regularly added Cocteau Twins and One Dove among their greatest influences.

Dubstar released their debut album 'Disgraceful' on Food Records in the Autumn of 1995 to worldwide critical and commercial success.
